What to say about the Madrid-Barajas Airport?
This is a huge airport worthy of being in the country's capital city.
The quantity and quality of food and beverage, as well as retail outlets, is really amazing, no matter the gate.
It's worth mentioning that the connecting flight board is not placed on the main corridor when you exit the airplane. Only the flights for those gates are there. Instead, walk more towards the inside where you see the signs for Baggage Claim, and then you'll see the connections listed, and this board/screen is much bigger. Additionally, the signals to take the tram/train to gates S and others miss the opportunity of showing where the elevators are when you come from the right, as you see signs to turn there but it doesn't say that only escalators are available there, so you have crawl back out, passing these metal poles, to then find the elevators, which are crowded with people that don't need them, as they don't have wheelchairs, baby strollers, or other mobility vehicles, and they don't yield the right to use the elevator to those that do, but that's another matter in itself.
Other than that, this airport is very cool and modern, and ensure you won't be bored.
