Really, really impressed. I've been coming to this place since I was a kid. It has changed owners over the years and had highs and lows. This is the first time I've been here in maybe 5 years and so impressed. Food was fresh, delicious, dumplings were plump and generous, price was reasonable and service was very friendly and that says a lot for a Chinatown establishment! Atmosphere was clean and pleasant which is not typical for dim sum. I really appreciated the veg dumpling options, very rare to see! Will def be back!!
Food was great! Spicy beef noodle and shaomai are awesome 🤩. The server are kind and friendly (●°u°●) 」Recommend to come here! Best choice ❤️
Everything came out so quick and tasted amazing. Soup dumplings, pulled pork bao, pad Thai, pork belly over rice appetizer, and bamboo shoot appetizer. Quick, friendly service. Cute robot servers. 10/10 good time.
I cannot say enough about the service here.
We went with our 14 month old and they were accommodating, friendly and efficient. The space was clean and had a nice look.
I enjoyed all of our food and thought the portions were more than fair for the price.

Fried rice is a good size to share and so are the appetizers. LOVED the soup dumplings.

High chairs were also available!
Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at House of Gourmet on Dundas St., West in Toronto, and it was nothing short of a culinary delight! Venturing out around midnight, I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem bustling with energy yet welcoming with available seating.

The moment we entered, we were greeted by the vibrancy of the place. The restaurant’s cleanliness was immediately apparent, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The lighting struck a perfect balance between bright and cozy, enhancing the overall ambiance.

What really stood out was the service. Our server was not only friendly but also remarkably efficient. Despite the crowd, we were quickly seated and attended to with genuine kindness and attentiveness.

As a group of six, we opted for the ‘meal for six’ - a decision we didn’t regret. This feast included an array of dishes: sumptuous soup, flavorful chow, perfectly fried rice, delectable sweet-and-sour pork and beef, creamy mayo tofu, tender beef with broccoli, crispy spring rolls, and a mouth-watering eggplant dish. Each item was a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs, and the portions were just right for our group.

Every bite was a flavor explosion, satisfying and delightful. The food didn’t just meet our late-night cravings; it turned our meal into a memorable experience.

House of Gourmet is not just a restaurant; it’s a haven for food lovers seeking quality and taste. Its ability to provide such an extraordinary dining experience, especially at such a late hour, is commendable.

I wholeheartedly recommend House of Gourmet to anyone in the Toronto area. Whether you’re wrapping up a late night or just in the mood for excellent Chinese cuisine, this place is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to relive the culinary journey!
Love the quality, love the vibes, love the hours! Service was a solid 8/10 everyone was nice too! Didn’t receive one of the dishes we ordered and there wasn’t alot of follow up throughout to make sure everything was good!
This is the nicest and cleanest Chinese restaurant near the Princess of Wales and Royal Alex. Many people dine here before or after going to the theatre.

I’ve been here many times and have tried 30% of their menu already. I have my favourites- the pork belly and the pulled pork baos are good, the soup filled dumplings, the tang yuan dessert is a plus, the almond crusted fish, stewed ribs, their scallion noodles are also good. The serving quantity is enough. You can also ask for brown rice substitution for a small additional fee. Worth it.

Their Dan Dan mien is quite different from all the other Dan Dans I’ve tasted, not exactly what one would expect if you’re familiar with this dish. They use sticky noodles and the sauce is not quite the Dan Dan flavour (no numbing peppercorns) but if you’re craving, ir will have to do. However, I suggest you try other dishes instead.

The service has always been excellent, even pre pandemic. It’s professional, friendly, quiet, quick, polite and unobtrusive.

The interiors are well designed, with taste and ambience that will make dining a joy.
We enjoy dining here and will continue to support them.

I went at a dead hour on a weekday that’s why it looks empty but they have a lot of take aways and deliveries happening.
Ordered honey garlic pork ribs and fried rice. Both dishes were prepared fresh and delivered fast.

Take out BBQ with soya chicken and roast pork on rice. The chicken was a back piece and the BBQ was dry. Otherwise, service was excellent and wait time for take out was average. Late afternoon lunch had low selections for chicken it seemed on that day. Will try another time to give this location another review.
Dimsum was my absolute fave!! Ordered half Peking Duck and it was delicious just don’t forget to ask for the bones if you like it ha having the minced meat cooked with veggies.

The only thing I won’t give a 5 ⭐️ is because they don’t have proper seating, ordering and bill out process. The food is great so they still deserve a 4 star review.
Лучшие супы которые я когда была ела!
Одну порцию супа можно легко разделить на 2 человека !!!
