This year George Restaurant performed impeccably, again.
After one year hiatus, we went back for our Department Holiday Season Celebration. We hosted 100+ guests.
The food was amazing despite they had to serve 100+ people at the same time. The service was also amazing and professional.
Thank you Caroline (Private Dining Manager) for the support in organizing and the attention to details. Thank you Natalie (sommelier). And thank you to all George staff.

Tasting menu food came out an hour late. Bread was not warm. We had to ask for butter 3 times.
Service was terrible. Servers were not happy, did not explain most of the dishes, did not care about how our experience was going, not engaging. Poor training for sure.
Food was tasty and diverse.
Would not go back.
Not worth the price for the ‘experience’.
I had the best experience ever! My first time dining at George and it was just divine! I highly recommend the tasting menu, every dish was even more delicious than the last and that is saying a lot.

I’m a person with a severe allergy to tree nuts/peanuts, so I never really get to experience blind tasting but dining here gave me the opportunity to do so as which was very nice.

Lastly, our server Enzo couldn’t have been more delightful! I was taken aback when he offered to call for a taxi cab and even walked me down the stairs as I was wearing heels. Very attentive and thoughtful, a pleasure.
Amazing! Not sure how I haven't dined here sooner.

Brandon and his family are really welcoming and they've created a remarkable ambience with delicious food.

The best Thai food I've had in the city!

Highly recommended. Great way to beat the Sunday blues. Will be back for sure!
The 7 course tasting menu was a perfect food experience for the price, and made for an excellent birthday celebration. Each course was created and presented with care, and I left feeling quite full (but not overfull). The best part of the experience was that for each course, they prepare a different dish for each person - so you can try even more dishes and flavours. We also tried a couple cocktails which are excellent, and the restaurant also has an extensive wine menu - with the possibility of adding wine pairings to the tasting menu as well.
Review for vegetarian menu!
We had the 5 course tasting menu. I had the vegetarian option and my partner had the meat option. The service was amazing and there was a good variety of flavors on my plates, which was appreciated. I have to take off one star because my "main" was a block of unseasoned tofu with sauce on top. I absolutely hate when restaurants, especially nice restaurants, don't put enough thought into their vegetarian dishes. Tofu is a blank slate, you can't expect it to be flavourful or have a good texture on its own. This was the only course I didn't finish because it was so bland and disappointing. If they change that in the future, I'd give them 5 stars.
I did not expect when we (2 people) ordered the 10 tasting course to be treated with 20 unique dishes. I would say the 7 course is definitely more than enough for a meal to be completely satisfied but damn, the effort they put in was astronomical.

I don't consider myself an expert in any of this, and it is not in my scope to tell you if you should spend over 100 dollars per person on a meal, but I think the magical element is that the food legitimately tastes fantastic.

My favourites were the tuna tartare, the octopus and quail egg, and the desserts.

Music was decent but the club was empty and there was no one dancing. Was also confused as their Instagram says Ladies free before 11:30pm but they still made my friends and I pay $20 cover. I don’t know if it was just a particularly slow night compared to normal, but the $20 cover was definitely not worth the empty (& quite frankly boring) atmosphere. There are definitely better options for a night out in Toronto

was a great time, but giving one star because lady behind the bar gave herself an automatic tip. i should’ve paid more attention because i paid $67 for 2 small drinks and the machine didn’t ask to put in a tip as it usually does, hence the suspicion of her giving her own tip. that is so wrong. earlier we got the same drinks from a guy and it was much cheaper and reasonable and the machine asked for a tip.
long story short, don’t come here unless if you want the bartender to scam you.
Food here is quite authentic. I am not sure if North Americans are truly ready for it tho. It’s spicy, it tastes just like it is in Thailand. The owner is super chatty and very proud of the place. Very interesting guy.
Amazing experience at Mengrai for AsialiciousTO 2023! Not only was the food superb, but the service was top-notch. Allan was very hospitable and took the time to explain about the restaurant and recommended some dishes.
We dined here for the first time during Nuit Blanche last week. The ambiance was great! Staff were very friendly and service was fast and stellar. The food was great! This is the best Thai restaurant I have been to. We loved their chef’s special pad thai, the red curry with lychee (shrimp and chicken), the braised curry lamb and the mango salad. Presentation was impressive! Alex (if I remember correctly), the manager, goes around and chats with the customers which is really a nice touch because it made us comfortable and happy to have chosen to dine here. He also handed me a complimentary glass of white wine which was very much appreciated. I definitely recommend this place and would come back here again.
Recently, I went to Mengrai for the first time and really enjoyed it! We came from out of town to celebrate a birthday and heard that Mengrai had great vegan options.

Service was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back next time we are in Toronto!
Had dinner here with a friend. I’ve been to quite a few Thai restaurants in the GTA but this one really stood out! The staff was welcoming and serviced us proactively from the beginning, and the restaurant has tasteful, characteristic furnishings.

While looking at the menu and Google photos, I immediately noticed several dishes not seen at other restaurants, and we decided to try the striped bass fillet with coconut and chicken curry with lychee. I really enjoyed both choices! I’m usually not a big fan of very heavy dishes and so I was very glad that both dishes were more on the light side, and I especially loved the lychee flavour in the curry. The tastes and presentation were so memorable that I would love to come back and have them again! Additionally, the fried yam roll appetizer was excellent. I think this restaurant is underrated and it is now among my favourite Thai restaurants in Toronto.
Долгое ожидание! Не рекомендую!
Все понравилось. Вкусные бургер из бизона, потрясающая картошка фри. А вот бургер из кенгуру очень .
