I paid in full for a rental of a specific type of car because that is a service they offer. My flight was delayed by several hours and I called multiple times to update them and make sure they would hold the car I had already paid for. They repeatedly told me every time that my car was secure until the end of the day not to worry. So we arrive 6hours late in the evening, I ask for my car and the employee looks at me like i’m talking gibberish. “Sir you are 6 hours late we don’t have your car anymore”. What!? I communicated several times and updated the flight information, they apparently don’t do anything with that information though.

reserved in advance and we had a good deal compared to other car rental firms. on arrival they didn't have the car we requested but was provided with a free upgrade to an Audi Quattro 4x4. the Europe car representative was very polite and helpful. There was several minor scratches and light scuffs on the vehicle but this was already stipulated on the rental agreement but we photographed and video'd a complete 360 inspection just in case there were any problems when retuning the vehicle but there wasn't.

Finding the car was relatively easy as it was located two floors above in the multi-story car park. My only criticism was Europcar could not offer maximum zero excess cover on the vehicle and despite taking out as much additional protection we were still liable for £750 hence the 4 star rating. We hadn't come across this before as in the USA and Iceland we could easily get zero excess protection. The car in fairness was excellent and drove really well so we were very happy overall and will be renting another car with Europcar.

Best experience! Early morning took my car and I got an amazing service by Toby, welcoming, friendly and professional! Made all the experience great with such a start and introduction! Hope company has mainly such staff, because of him for sure will go with Europecar again! Car was amazing got an electric vehicle, clean and almost brand new, returned in no time and issue!
