Lovely, family-oriented place. Lots of space between cottages. Large grass area for kids and dogs to play. Dog friendly. Dockage for boat available. Some cottages have a private fire pit. Cottages are clean and spacious and come outfitted with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Would recommend!

My wife and I stayed here last year and really enjoyed our week. We are just back from 8 days in cottage 1. The cottage is what we are looking for. No dishwasher no granite counter but a clean, well equipped cottage where we can just relax and enjoy the time looking at the water and the Georgian Bay sunsets. Joyce and Ed are great hosts and work hard to ensure your stay is an enjoyable one. James is fortunate to have such great people. Hopefully we can go back again next year.

It’s now 2020 the year of the pandemic! Joyce and Ed are no longer hosts, there are only 3 cottages for rent and the place is for sale. That said, we have been back for 2 different weeks this year. We miss Ed and Joyce as they worked very hard at the maintenance. We have our doubts that the cottages will be available next year. We will miss the view out over the water and Georgian Bay sunsets.

Loved the area, cottage very clean excellent value for the money. Nikki at the front desk was very helpful, knowledgeable and happy to make sure we were well taken care of. Highly recommend I liked it so much I have pre booked for July already. And yes... the beds are comphy and had fresh new linens and pillows.

We went to Blue Water for a one week getaway and were quite happy with our stay. The cottages are a little dated but, very clean and still nice enough to feel comfortable. Laura, the woman who seems to be in charge, was very nice and quite helpful. My daughter didn't love the beach area, which is in need of some attention, though she did enjoy the games and toys left out for children. We both liked walking around the area. There is no WIFI so, if you want to stay connected that may prove difficult because even the cell signal was spotty. Having a DVD player in the room and BBQ on the deck were both terrific bonuses that we were happy to enjoy. We will definitely consider Blue Water again next summer.
